Admission Information - B.A. / B.Sc. / B.Com. (Honours & General)
Academic Year 2013 - 2014
- Admission will be made on provisional basis subject to the approval of the CU.
- Forms will be distributed on and from 4th June 2013, between 5-00 pm and 7-30 pm everyday except holidays.
- Forms will be distributed from Room No 17, 19A.
- Admission shall start from 28th June 2013.
- Validity of the issued forms shall be 2 (two) working days. No extension or validation shall be allowed. No original documents are required at the time of taking forms.
- Students having Urdu combination will not be admitted.
- A candidate must have passed in 5 (five) CU-recognised subjects (full marks being not less than 100 each) of which one shall be English of 100marks (Compulsory Environment Paper shall not be considered as one of the five subjects).
- All SC/ST candidates will get Application forms free of cost if they obtain 40% marks in aggregate (best of four) or 40% marks in the subject concerned in case of Hons. Courses as per CU norms. But admissions will be made strictly on the basis of Merit List.
- Time of Admission (submission of filled-in forms and fees) – 5-00 pm to 7-30 pm everyday except holidays.
- Students passing from Patrachar/Open School other than National Open School and Rabindra Mukta Vidyalaya are not eligible for admission.
- Photocopies of Marksheets, Admit Cards of the Madhyamik/HS/Equivalent exam passed and two Stamp Size photograph are required at the time of taking admission along with the original Marksheets and Admit Cards.
- For B.Com. (Hons), pass in Mathematics is compulsory for HS Science students.
- Candidates failing in Chemistry are not eligible for admission to science stream.
- Students from Agriculture and Vocational stream are not eligible except for BA (General).
- 'Admitted' stamp shall be put on the Marksheet after admission.
- Eligible players will be considered for admission as per norms.
- For other states authenticity certificate must be required.

The following documents are necessary at the time of admission :
- Original Admit Card of the Madhyamik Examination or Equivalent.
- Original Marks sheet of Higher Secondary examination or Equivalent.
- Original Transfer Certificate in case of students coming from another college.
- Original Migration Certificate in case of students coming from boards other than WBCHSE (till such time as the students produce the original migration certificate and the university accepts it, the admission shall be purely provisional).
